  1. Looks like someone tried to break down the door to my house (and they almost succeeded — the screws to the door handle were almost ripped out). Gonna have to start deadbolting the motherfucker because shit. THEY COULD HAVE STOLEN MY ROOMBA AND EEEPC THE HORROR.
  2. Tried to buy an xbox 360 today. Would have succeeded if they didn’t fucking slip me a Kung-Fu-Squirrel/Lego-Indiana-Nazis bundle instead of the fucking Halo 3/Fable 2 they have advertised throughout the store. Sneaky assholes (though they’ll let me swap it tomorrow).
  3. I have shit taste in women.
  4. I think I’m going to buyobtain (after all, I would never admit to purchasing a copy of an operating system) a copy of Windows so I can dick around with F#. Possibly related to #2.

Also, I think I’m pregnant.

    On another note, MS might eventually develop a language that writes itself. No one will need programmers anymore. That is…until it becomes sentient…or BSODs. 0_o

    Man xbox live is the biggest rip off ever, there are no master game servers; it’s all p2p so you end up playing against home cable/dsl hosted servers. Did I mention you have to pay for this privilege? /rant

    If you’re talking about pure language semantics, F# is far superior to C# — F# is effectively an O’Caml implementation for the .NET platform. And O’Caml is basically Haskell with a Perl syntax.

    That said, I think the .NET platform is wonky too (it’s better than the JVM, at least).

    It costs me a fraction of what it costs to pay people to pick up my trash (as in, 1/10 as much yearly). As far as I understand it, you’re more paying for the free demos and random shit (which is hosted on a central server). I doubt I’ll be screaming obscenities at many 11 year-olds.

    XNA is a huge scam. Pay to develop for their closed platform where the only possible consumers are other suckers just like you.
